Parent Lab: A New Brand Identity

Parent Lab is a highly-rated app that meets parents right where they are in their parenting journey with evidence-based solutions for everyday parenting challenges.

Our team at DEPT® collaborated with Parent Lab to revamp their brand and app design. We conducted a thorough audit of their existing brand and app, followed by competitor analysis to strategize their market positioning.

We developed comprehensive brand guidelines, including the Parent Lab Brand Playbook, along with a suite of brand illustrations.

Championing the logo
The updated unique logo, teamed with a serif font, now clearly communicates the industry served, providing instant recognition of the company's focus.
The Brand Playbook
The Brand Playbook serves as a comprehensive guide detailing Parent Lab's essence, defining its visual identity, tone of voice, vision, and mission. It ensures cohesion in messages, images, and assets, fostering an environment that supports parental and familial well-being.
Building the blocks together
With Parent Lab's mission to empower parents and infuse joy into the parenting journey, it's imperative that their brand reflects this ethos to the world. Combining playfulness and authenticity, our team has crafted whimsical designs and elements designed to ignite joy.
Families like to draw together using markers. We do, too. We use hand-drawn marks to evoke a human touch and highlight our experimental approach.
